Still Going....

Since January I have lost 45 lbs. I feel better and I think I look better also. But there is always something that wants to burst your bubble. I found a "body mass index" calculator on line and put my height and weight into it. It came back and said that I was still too fat! How dare it say that to me. Regardless of the insult I am still going forward. I have joined my wife walking about 3.5 miles a day. And even though I embarrassed her by eating too much "never ending pasta" at the Olive Garden last night (my never ending and hers are two different things) I intend to continue this pursuit of a healthier, better looking me.

The never ending pasta may have been a small setback, but I will overcome! It's just like that in our walk with God. If you have a determination to succeed, life's setbacks will not keep you from moving forward. God is loving, forgiving, and willing to help if we will look to Him. After 37 years of the Christian life with all of the obstacles that have been put in my way I'm glad to say I'm still going...
